Diversity Choir

If you like what you have read so far you might be thinking of joining us. We welcome new members at any time of year and are happy for you to come along to a couple of rehearsals to ‘see if you like us’! .

We tend to learn music by sight-reading at first so if you can read music this would be a real advantage. That said, we do have members who do not read music and assistance to help learn voice parts is given as well. A very informal audition with the Musical Director will be held after a couple of weeks where you choose a piece to sing.

Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings between 7pm and 9:15pm at the Grosvenor Chapel in South Audley St, W1 and afterwards we congregate in a local pub. There is a requirement for one to two weekend rehearsals per concert i.e. one Sat or Sun from 10 to 4.

Subscriptions are payable to cover hire of rehearsal space and purchase of music and can be discussed upon joining.

Please note: In order to maintain a balance between voice parts it may be necessary for potential new members to be placed on a waiting list, or to accept that they may not be able to sing in a concert (or in the rehearsals immediately beforehand) while that part remains full. Similarly members taking “time out” and returning may also be in this position.  The final decision rests with the Musical Director.
